Data Center Engineer

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Take this exciting role within our data center service team, and you will have the chance to use your exceptional technical skills to make a difference to a variety of technical projects and business critical initiatives for our clients.

We need you to manage all ‘end to end’ installations within the data center space. You will provide technical assurance on data center compatibility for medium and large-scale projects while providing first and second-level diagnostics and fixes for hardware failures. You will also undertake data center physical performance testing and encourage sustainable design on projects and initiatives in the data center space.

Responsibilities

Must have experience in using a Data Center database, you will have a good understanding of network, storage, and computer hardware platforms as well as Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM).

A logical thinker and fast learner with a can-do attitude, you will plan network routes data center and desktop connectivity

ITIL experience is preferred but not essential. Above all, you will have a flexible approach with the ability to prioritize effectively.

Must be able to work in Germany and travel to other key EMEA countries  with short notice. 

Required skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of server installation
  • Basic-to-intermediate DC network skills (Cisco, Juniper, HP)
  • Proved experience of investigating technical issues
  • Knowledge critical data center infrastructure including power and cooling would be desirable
